The National Policy on Industry 4.0 (Industry4WRD) is a proactive measure undertaken by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) to transform the Malaysian manufacturing industry and its related services to be smarter, more systematic and resilient.
Mr. Callum with HRDF Chief Executive Mr. Elanjelian visited LH Plus Sdn Bhd on December 17th 2018 @ LH Plus Sdn Bhd. The purpose of the visit was to understand the Industry Revolution 4.0 implementation in the plastic manufacturing sector, their challenges, impacts and plans moving forward.
What is Industry 4.0?
Industry 4.0 is automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things, cloud computing and cognitive computing. Industry 4.0 fosters what has been called a “Smart Factory”.
Within modular structured smart factories, cyber-physical systems monitor physical processes, create a virtual copy of the physical world and make decentralized decisions.
Over the Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems communicate and cooperate with each other and with humans in real-time both internally and across organizational services offered and used by participants of the value chain.
